Image
Me and my group are very excited about this project. We tried very hard to produce something that would be unique and up to qualifications for Aice standards. We hope you like our project ,and we are excited for media studies A level. Overall, I think this was a fun project. It took a lot of hard work in order to pull off this film. I appreciate that my groupmates are in the same direction I am. What I can say is I am glad to be finally done with the project. All the hard work payed off as I think me and my group mates have truly captured the horror theme. We are glad we chose this prompt and this theme because it was very easy for us to come up with things for the movie. I am excited for what's to come in the future of   As media studies.

Final touches blog

In this blog my group tried to focus on fixing minor inconsistences with my film. First thing my group had to figure out was the title sequencing. To make the titles not to fast or not slow, took a long time to space out. As well as put  in place to where the titles would make sense. A lot of clips had sound issues as well. When editing we found that clips where there were no dialogue were particularly known tohave random sounds. We had to strip the audio from each of these clips because it did nothing for the clips. We decided to make most of the begingin scenes thay

Film review

For my film review, I feel like I have made good progress on the film. My group members and I tried very hard to create something that met all the necessary requirements. Looking back at my film production we had several redo's in order to try to make the film very visually appealing. We tried to focus our attention on our storyline and planning for the film. That was one of the biggest parts of creating the film. The essential steps and props and planning were absurd. I could only begin to imagine what creating a 2 hour or so film. I feel as though we did not film up to the full expectation. when filming we decided not to film some of the scenes because we ran out of time and wanted to start editing. The time that it took to film the correct camera angles and set up the shots was grueling. This was especially because I had work that night and it was a weekend. In the film, my group and I really looked to create something unique. When planning our story line we tries to keep away f

second day of editing

On the second day of editing I had lots of work to do. There was several imperfections I had to correct. One thing that was major point of discussion for my group was the beginning intro. Due to the complex nature of the title sequence it has be a very specific way. We left most of that part blank because we were still thinking of what we could put in the title. I decided to due some research on title sequences. I referred to some of my previous planning for the tittle sequence. My group decided that we wanted to change it a little bit. Once it was done with that I me and my group re went over the scenes and how they are supposed to play out in the film. We rearranged and tweaked most of the scenes. We cut a lot of bloopers out of the scenes. The nest issue that I faced when trying to edit. Was the lighting in every scene. There were several lighting defects in the film. I decided to load into the color scheme of the clips and tweak it slightly so that the sun is less harsh and I can e

The first day of editing

Image
This is the first day of editing for my group film project for my media studies class. I am very excited to get into the editing of the film and I think we have very interesting film idea. The first thing that we had to do upon finishing filming was upload all the files and name/organize them in a file. We then went on Facetime with the group and discussed the various way the film could pay out and where we could make scenes fit into the film. As we did not film all of the story board we originally planned to. Just  being cut from the production because we felt they were unnecessary, or we didn't have time to shoot the scenes. Once we had our scene placement, we had to discuss how each scene would transition into the next. This proved to be one of the hardest parts of the editing because it really does make or break your film . Having fluent and non choppy transition is very important. I then went through each clip scoping for imperfection that would have to make us refilm a scen

the third day of filming

On my third day of filming, we had to film at birch state park. We first had to go to my groupmates camera afterschool. We could only do it on that day before the park closes when it gets late. We had several scenes to film at birch state park. Once I had gathered all the necessary equipment and tool for filming. I packed up and went to Katie's house once I got there we immediately started getting to work. Once I arrived we had to wait for the rest of the group to arrive. while waiting my group decided to plan and advice a plan on exactly what we are going to include in each shot. As well as how we should film them. Once we had devised a plan we gathered up all our equipment. Once the rest of my groupmates arrived. we headed down the park near Katie's house (birch state) in the golf cart. we know we had to start to hurry before it gets to dark and hard to film. Once we get to the park we realize that we forgot the knife prop. We then had to go all the way back to the necessary
