                                 Editing #2 For the second day of editing, I got right back into working on adding clips. For the third clip, I decided to use the insert of the drop down on to the bag camera shot was good transition. This introduced a new color of the bag. I then took this clip into light room and edited it to match the commercial. It also made the bag look more appealing to eye. I then added some casual wipe clip transitions. At this point, it seemed we were on track to finishing the project. So next I insert the 4th clip, into the video. For this part of the commercial, I was trying to go with something that would get Fahim in the video. However, at the same time... it needed to match the theme of the commercial. I decided that the clip where Fahim is walking with the bag. Next to the cafeteria would fit the commercial well. We then through it into the editor, we changed the colors and trimmed the video to match the rest of the commercial. I then decided that I neede

                                    Editing 1  The first day of editing the commercial, I was at my house. I decided to edit the light and color features of the first clip of the North-face bag. In this clip I focused on keeping it concise and straight to the point of the bag, so you can see exactly what we are advertising. I had to leave some of the clip out due to this reason. When I was editing the light of this clip, I decided to keep the whites very bright and shadows dark and consistent. This gives the bag a glossier and fancier look. I then changed the Hue of the clip to be more of a dark blue color. To give the artic feel for what the bag was trying to achieve. I decided that this clip was first because I felt it was a good introduction to the product. I then had an idea to add a camera flash sound affect at the beginning because I thought that the first clip was too subtle. This introduced the music and lights in the video.                                 Filming 2 For the second filming day of the project I was given class time. My group of now Ethan, Fahim, and myself try and go look for good spots to film. We are given passes and are aloud to film on school campus. We grab the camera and start walking around. Our first goal was to establish some walk away shots with the bag. This is essentially a shot where a the actor has his/her back towards the camera and walks away from the camera. We took some shots outside near the field and in the gym. We eventually settled on a spot right in front of the cafeteria. The first actor to be recorded was Ethan, he took 3 shots of him walking away from the camera with the bag. Then Fahim my other group member took a couple shots with the same pose and camera angle. We then looked for other spots and other cool ways to film the bag.                                Filming 1 Hello, today I will tell you about filming my project, the first day of filming was at my house. For the first scene I was in charge of filming the north face bag with a white back drop. At first, I was going to use a green screen. However, I decided to make the background white. This made it easier on editing. Next I had to decide if I was using my grey bag or the dark blue north face bag. Once I determined that I would be using the grey north-face bag. I then created a backdrop, first, I found a piece of wood that had a smooth white paint finish. I took a piece of Styrofoam and cut it so that it could stand up and cover the the two sides making a corner. I took the Styrofoam and taped it to the bottom of the wood. This created a corner looking white background. I then put this contraption in the corner of the room and took some shots of the bag. Originally, we had the plan to make the bag appear floating.    My Commercial This is our North-Face commercial. This is our first big project for media studies. I am excited for what is to come of this class. I think my group was excellent, we all played a big part in getting this project done.  This is important because it shows our ability's to be creative and manage task. This is a major step in improving my production skills.
