Hello, today I will tell you about filming my project, the first day of filming was at my house. For the first scene I was in charge of filming the north face bag with a white back drop. At first, I was going to use a green screen. However, I decided to make the background white. This made it easier on editing. Next I had to decide if I was using my grey bag or the dark blue north face bag. Once I determined that I would be using the grey north-face bag. I then created a backdrop, first, I found a piece of wood that had a smooth white paint finish. I took a piece of Styrofoam and cut it so that it could stand up and cover the the two sides making a corner. I took the Styrofoam and taped it to the bottom of the wood. This created a corner looking white background. I then put this contraption in the corner of the room and took some shots of the bag. Originally, we had the plan to make the bag appear floating. I decided a shot of the bag sitting would be easier and would look just as good considering our background. These first shots were good, I wanted to get some close ups of the bag. I decided to take some lamps and lights around the house and focus them on the bag from different directions. This gave the bag good contrast and shadows between the greyish color of the bag and a white background. My group was making suggestions about how we should place the bag and lighting, we edited and tweaked most of the films to our liking. My group and I decided we are going to do more clips and close ups with a background. However it was very difficult to film alone and we need work with what we had due too time constrictions.  I then took the best out of all the videos and uploaded it to the project.

Film review

For my film review, I feel like I have made good progress on the film. My group members and I tried very hard to create something that met all the necessary requirements. Looking back at my film production we had several redo's in order to try to make the film very visually appealing. We tried to focus our attention on our storyline and planning for the film. That was one of the biggest parts of creating the film. The essential steps and props and planning were absurd. I could only begin to imagine what creating a 2 hour or so film. I feel as though we did not film up to the full expectation. when filming we decided not to film some of the scenes because we ran out of time and wanted to start editing. The time that it took to film the correct camera angles and set up the shots was grueling. This was especially because I had work that night and it was a weekend.                                     Editing 1  The first day of editing the commercial, I was at my house. I decided to edit the light and color features of the first clip of the North-face bag. In this clip I focused on keeping it concise and straight to the point of the bag, so you can see exactly what we are advertising. I had to leave some of the clip out due to this reason. When I was editing the light of this clip, I decided to keep the whites very bright and shadows dark and consistent. This gives the bag a glossier and fancier look. I then changed the Hue of the clip to be more of a dark blue color. To give the artic feel for what the bag was trying to achieve. I decided that this clip was first because I felt it was a good introduction to the product.
