Going to 7-11

Going to 7-11

On the Friday the 3rd, I filmed more scenes for my music video. I started out at my friends house, invited all my group members to come. As the director, I again supplied the camera, and recording equipment. In this scene we were going to film, we needed to head to the gas station. We had a lot of different ideas in mind, we then decided to shoot a couple videos at 7-11, a popular place for Rap music videos. My friends and I called our friend that has a neat car. He agreed to come, and we headed to the gas station. We first started off my trying to get some close up shots of our actors with our specifically picked out outfits on. We recorded 3 takes of the first close up scene. We did not have a speaker to play the music and get a feel for the song, so we had to walk all the way back to the house to get one. Once we got back, We then decided to take a long shot of walking into 7-11, my partner who was recording got in a low angle to show case the light in a very neat way. We then decided to record a small clip in the 7-11 of a popular drink within the rap community. I started by letting the camera get a pan shot, following me through the isles. Several Takes and redo's later, we finished filming. We then decided to take some videos of the car driving away, in a tracking shot. My group members and extras realized the area was quite dark and needed more light. We then headed back to the house and got a special that illuminates the area very well. After all the takes and redo's, I had finally felt satisfied with that days recordings. We then headed back to the house reviewed all the clips and decided to choose the best ones.
