My group and I are doing a Rap music video, in these music videos the Artist and their entourage can be seen wearing high-end clothing. As well as, Expensive jewelry, foreign exotic vehicles, models, dancing. This is all depends on the Mood/Theme of the song, this will determine the visuals of the song. However, in most cases these costumes and stylistic choices of the music video are intended  to show off the artist and their lifestyle to the audience. You can see many different activities being performed in the video, unfortunately as it comes with the culture of rap music- A lot of music videos show artist using drugs. Moreover, activities can include Adult clubs, Dangerous stunts in vehicles, and a general high end lifestyle on the notion that they are aloud to pull off these illegal activities due to their high wages. Costumes include any kind of clothing but usually high end clothing and accessories. You will also see quick camera pans, long shots, closeups, and usually these camera angles and entire music video can look totally different due to the mood/theme of the song. The video can also include collaboration with other artist and usually some type of personal entourage. This entourage can include people involved with the artist, friends, producers, record label facility. Alas a lot of rap music follows violent gang propaganda , which makes the nature of videos aggressive and can be used to threaten other rival gang members. This is not the case for all, however it is undeniable that lots of the rap genre has relation to gangs. In our research, we looked at several examples of this from a range of artist, from very famous to underground artist, they all follow that general pattern. These music videos also feature very high end camera resolution and visuals, that intend to make the colors of video pop as well as making sure the artist looks as "bougie" as they claim. There is an exception to this though, rap is often known to mix other genres into rap music. This could change the theme of the music video to have more intense visual effects. They can be anything from a CGI Fire Breathing dragon to the artist on the moon. Possibilities of a music videos are endless, its a blank canvas that the artist and their music directors can paint. This supports the idea that music is simply art, and it is up to the artist to paint the picture and image for the audience to follow. With this, a lot of the younger generation look up to these creators and their music and undeniably music is extremely powerful.
